Pharrell ditches rap, moves on to fine art collabos

October 7, 2009

Was just browsing the net and found this weird little short film, The Ear, over at nahright.com. By artist Yi Zhou, and starring Pharrell Williams (yes, that Pharrell), the approximately seven minute clip features both live action and multi-dimensional animation. I’m not good at interpreting this sort of thing (perhaps that’s why Nuit Blanche is mostly lost on me) but it looks cool. Anyway, my favourite part is the score by Ennio Morricone—a total legendary genius when it comes to scoring films. The music literally takes on a life of it’s own. Help me out though: what the hell is this all about?

That was good, but not as good as his first short film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4chHBO_RTA
